This Privacy Policy explains how Taxi QR Code Pickup collects, uses, stores and shares personal information.
1. Who this applies to
Website visitors, passengers, registered customers, loyalty members, taxi business users, drivers and administrators.
2. Information collected
We may collect names, phone numbers, email and business details, billing email, pickup and saved addresses, permitted GPS location, QR and vehicle identifiers, fleet number, request details and status, notes, loyalty and redemption history, invoices, account activity, device and session details, hashed IP and user-agent data, and security or audit logs.
3. How and why we collect it
Information may be collected through QR scans, pickup requests, registration, saved addresses, vehicle confirmations, loyalty, logins, uploads, support and billing. It is used to deliver requests, identify locations, manage customers, dispatch, loyalty, qualified scans, invoices, security, fraud prevention, support and legal obligations.
4. GPS and QR information
Location permission is optional. Manual or saved locations may be available. QR events may record the code, business, time, type, session and qualification signals for analytics, billing, security and support.
5. Vehicle QR and loyalty
Vehicle scans may record the business, vehicle, time, verified customer details, ride matching, points and rewards to confirm rides, prevent duplicates and support billing.
6. Sharing
Relevant names, phone numbers, pickup information, notes, status, loyalty and vehicle confirmation may be shared with the participating taxi business. Service providers may process data for hosting, email, SMS, maps, payments, bot protection, analytics, storage, backups and security.
7. Cookies and sessions
Necessary cookies support login, security, trusted customer sessions, preferences and abuse prevention. See the Cookie Notice.
8. Security and retention
Controls include HTTPS, password hashing, role access, CSRF and bot protection, audit logs, rate limiting and secure file handling. No system is completely secure. Records are retained as needed for service, billing, tax, disputes, security and legal obligations, then deleted, archived or anonymised where appropriate.
9. Access, correction and deletion
You may request access, correction or deletion, although billing, tax, security or dispute records may need to be retained.
10. Overseas disclosure and children
Some providers may process data outside Australia. The platform is not intended for unsupervised use by children.
